SIZE AND MATERIALS
– Approximate size: 17.7 x 24.0 in (45 x 61 cm), including one narrow edging round.
– Chart: 180 rows, 14 to 132 stitches per row, shaped into an oval.
– Hook: 2.5 mm, or size needed for gauge.
– Yarn: Fingering / super fine cotton (weight 1); 7 used colors.
– Target blocked gauge: 30 stitches x 30 rows per 10 cm (approximately 4 in).

TECHNIQUE
Intermediate shaped single crochet with chain extensions, foundation single crochet and stepped decreases. The gray cells outside the oval are not crocheted. The written rows include every shaping operation. Finish with a dark plum edging and two hidden hanging loops; no dowel is used.
